Blessed be Your Name

Just want to share the following song.

Blessed be Your Name
Blessed be Your Name, in the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your Name
Blessed be Your Name when I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed be Your Name

Every blessing You pour out I'll
Turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say

Blessed be the Name of the Lord
Blessed be Your Name
Blessed be the Name of the Lord
Blessed be your Glorious Name

Blessed be Your Name when the sun's shining down on me
When the world's "all as it should be"
Blessed be Your Name
Blessed be Your Name on the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the suffering
Blessed be your Name

You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your Name!

(C) Words and Music by Beth and Matt Redman

Fun, goodtimes, laughter, peace, joy, happiness, camps, being arounds friends, being with the one you love, holidays etc. It is easy to give praise and thanksgiving to God and shout "Blessed be YOUR Name" during such times.

But when the bad results come, relationships with friends get strained, pressures of the world starts to surround us, exams, A levels, O levels, PSLE, projects etc. Can we still give praise to God? Can we still shout "Blessed be YOUR Name" and thanks Him for giving us life?

Our attitude should be like that of the lyrics of the song. Giving the blessing that we have back to the LORD. And even through the darkest of times, the most painful of hardships and the most severe of trials, still let us say "Blessed be YOUR Name!"

Remember, we have the greatest blessing of all already. Jesus died for us and because of that we will live forevermore!

If you are born once, you will die twice
But if you are born twice, you will die only once.
