Day 3 - After ONE
You might be criticized
Its hard to believe that exactly one week ago we were all running like clowns along Orchard Road. Seems like it was yesterday. I'm sure some of the things we did, carolling, crossworlds puzzles, mime etc must have drawn curious stares from the crowds.
The group mentors were pre-informed that Jerry would make an appearance during the concert. It was for that reason that I brought up his example during the Saturday night debriefing. (For those who were in my group anyway) He proclaimed his faith on live television and was criticized by non-Christians and Christians alike. Sad but true.
When Jesus heard this, he told them, 'Healthy people don't need a doctor - sick people do. I have come to call sinners not those who think they are already good enough." - Mark 2: 17
Remember what I told you all about us being the Salt and Light of this earth? Well, it's not easy to be the salt and light of this earth. We get tired, depressed, shot at by the Devil, and of course criticized. Sometimes by our own church friends.
Jesus was criticized all through His ministry; by the pharisees, His parents, even His disciples. But He was obedient to the Father even till death. Don't be discouraged when people criticize your work or your faith. Keep standing on the promises of God and the joy of Salvation. These things cannot be taken away from you.
Tomorrow I will begin to share what God revealed to me during the camp. It's quite long and would probably take about a week to complete.
