verses read: Acts: 17:16-34, Proverbs 4:23
prayer: 10 minutes

This passage is quite cool! I learned about the Epicureans and the Stoics in PH1101E. And Paul argues and reasons with them about God and Jesus Christ in this passage. Very interesting. Some accept the Gospel. But some still reject it, but rather than just throw him out of the city again, they mock him, but then they say they want to listen more! Yup, I guess that's the nature of philosophers.

Yesterday was weird. Had worship practice in the afternoon, first girl group to lead today. They will do fine. But then, I had the evening free. First time in ages that my Saturday evening was free. Did a bit of music composition. I'm sure it's passable, not sure if it's scorable.

Today is a brand new day. It's Sunday. Waking up early is starting to get easier. There are so many questions that we have in life, we wonder when God will answer them. But then, God doesn't owe us any answer, in fact, we owe Him our lives. I think more than trying to interpret the Word, trying to figure out what goes on. God just wants us to obey Him. But sometimes, obedience means that we have to do something that we do not want to do. And that's when things get all confusing and painful.

The picture of Jesus at the Garden of Gethsemane is quite apt I guess; He prayed till He sweated blood. It's a picture of the Son of God trying to do the will of His Father. And if the Son of God had so much difficulty doing the will of God, what more mere mortals like us. But the more important thing is that Jesus obeyed, and it was by his Stripes that we are healed today.
