verses read: Acts 18:1-11, Proverbs 4:25-27
prayer: 15 minutes
Paul goes to Corinth, where he stays for one and a half years. During this time he supports himself by being a tentmaker. Silas and Timothy join him during this time. While he preaches the Gospel here, the Jews reject the message. So he preaches to the Gentiles, and many come to belief! And God tell him not to be afraid and to continue preaching!
Sometimes, we pray and ask God for His favour in areas of our life. God can choose to say yes, no or wait. But God always answers prayers. But it's strange that when sometimes God says yes, we are not happy still. Because, while our prayer has been answered, along with the "yes" comes a lot of thing which we do not want. It's a mystery. But I know that God wants us to know that He is sovereign, and whatever He does is for our good.
I've learned to stop avoiding the bad things that come my way; because sometimes, these bad things are a result of my answered prayers. Just going to take them head on and grow in faith, so that God's work can be fulfilled.
